"You can never feed all of Africa, so do not try to bring us food. Please bring us the Word of Life, so that when we die, we can die in the arms of Jesus" - LS Kaphesi

In 2000, Pastor L.S. Kaphesi invited Pastor Dave Bogue to come to Africa and minister to pastors from the 66 churches he had planted throughout southern Malawi and Mozambique. This proved to be a time of great discovery.

Pastor Kaphesi had a great passion for the Bible. In addition, he had surrounded himself with like minded men. Many of the pastors who attended that first conference walked great distances for the opportunity to sit under the teaching of God’s Word.

Within days, Pastor Kaphesi asked if Finish Line would be willing to help in an ongoing way. He was humble and earnest in his plea. More than anything, he had a desire for his pastors to understand the foundational doctrines of the Bible. He had a desire for his men to accurately preach and teach the Scripture. Lastly, Pastor Kaphesi had a passion for God’s church in southeast Africa to grow. From this initial conversation, the framework for Finish Line Ministries Africa was formed.

For the past ten years churches, friends, and families from here in the United States have prayed for and financially supported Finish Line Ministries Africa. Annually, teams have traveled to Malawi to train pastors and preach the Gospel. Thousand of people have come to know Christ. Christians have grown in their faith. New church churches have been planted. Orphans have received care and pastors have been trained.

Today, there are more than 80,000 men and women attending 565 Finish Line Ministries Africa churches in Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. To God be the glory!
